Layla supports SillyTavern Lorebooks

What are SillyTavern Lorebooks?

SillyTavern Lorebooks are background information (or "world information") you can attach to your chats. They have a specific format, which you can export from SillyTavern. For more info, you can read here: https://docs.sillytavern.app/usage/core-concepts/worldinfo/

The main difference of ST Lorebooks vs "normal" lorebooks in Layla imported via PDF or ePub files is that ST lorebooks inject information based on a pre-set list of rules. (For more info on what the rules are, refer to the link to SillyTavern's website above). "Normal" lorebooks within Layla chooses what to inject via a similarity check via embeddings.

This makes SillyTavern Lorebooks more rigid but predictable, which is sometimes preferred when you are running roleplay and need critical background information about your world injected when mentioning particular phrases.

Layla Supports ST Lorebooks

Layla supports ST Lorebooks the same way as any other format (like PDFs). You simply import them!

ST Lorebooks are in json format, you can find them on popular sites such as chub.ai.

Once imported, they operate the same way as normal lorebooks: you can attach them to characters, start chats with them etc.

They logic for injecting lorebook content works the same way as in SillyTavern. Based on the phrases you specify in the lorebook, content is injected.
